Depth coaching for relationship patterns and identity shifts. How I Help You Understand and Shift Your Patterns.
Identify your patterns, understand where they come from, and begin working with them differently in your life and relationships.
Who this is forSome people come to this work because they already see their patterns.
Others come because they don’t yet—but they can feel something isn’t working.
Either way, you’re not starting from nothing.
You’re starting from awareness—whether it’s clear or just beginning.
And that’s enough.
Meet Rebecca Steele, MA, MSW — Depth Coach™.I work 1:1 with people who want to understand their patterns and intentionally shift how they show up in their lives and relationships.
The focus in this coaching is on:
Self-understanding and pattern recognition
Growth and self-expansion
Translating insight into real-life change
Building self-trust in how you think, choose, and relate
My work is rooted in depth frameworks—archetypes, the Enneagram, and attachment—but grounded in practical application so what you’re learning actually becomes usable.
Why This Work Matters to MeI don’t just guide this work—I’ve lived it.
I’ve worked through these patterns firsthand—especially the orphan, helper, and scapegoat.
I know what it’s like to:
Search for belonging, both within and with others
Over-function or over-give
Feel outside, misread, or misunderstood
And I know what it takes to start shifting those patterns—first by seeing them clearly, and then by working with them differently.
I’ve also supported others in identifying these patterns, whether for the first time, or at a deeper level, and transforming how they relate to them.
Hear Me Talk About This Work
I recently spoke about these patterns in more depth on a podcast episode.
In it, I explore what I call the Belonging Pattern—the drive to find connection, approval, and place, and how it shapes how we show up in relationships, work, and identity.
In the episode, I break down how the orphan, helper, and scapegoat archetype patterns often intertwine—especially for people who find themselves over-giving, over-functioning, or questioning where they truly belong.
I also share how these patterns show up in real relationships—and what it looks like to start shifting them.

How is coaching with me different?
Not only mindset work, my coaching involves deeply improving self-understanding.
The coaching process follows a clear three‑stage flow:
See → Shift → Sustain
We identify the patterns (even if they’re not fully clear yet)
We practice new ways of responding in real situations
We build a realistic approach so the change holds over time
What you’ll notice:
Greater clarity about your patterns and why they exist
Less reactivity after messages or dates—more grounded responses
Stronger boundaries you can actually hold
Fewer repeats of the same relationship dynamics
A growing sense of confidence and self-trust in your choices
What working together feels like:
Warm, direct, and collaborative.
My style is conversational and practical. I’ll offer honest reflections, guided exploration, and clear tools—and we’ll tailor everything to your actual life, not a generic formula.
Dreams, Symbolism & Inner Reflection
For clients who are interested in a deeper symbolic or reflective approach, our work together may also include exploration of:
Recurring dreams
Emotional imagery
Intuitive associations
Personal metaphors
Themes that continue to emerge in your inner and outer life.
Rather than approaching your dreams as literal predictions or fixed truths, I view them as meaningful psychological and symbolic material that can offer insight into emotional needs, unconscious patterns, identity development, relational dynamics, creativity, and personal growth.
For some people, engaging with dreams and symbolic themes can become a powerful way of deepening self-understanding, reconnecting with overlooked parts of themselves, and accessing forms of insight that are sometimes difficult to reach through logic or analysis alone.
My BackgroundA therapist in Ontario for over 12 years, I’ve supported others’ mental health, healing, and personal growth.
That experience shapes how I work—grounded, nuanced, and deeply attuned to patterns.
Alongside that, I’ve spent 20+ years personally learning about depth approaches and personality systems, including:
Archetypal frameworks
The Enneagram
Attachment patterns
In the last decade of supporting others’ personal transformations, I’ve developed an approach that bridges deep insight with real-world application.
“I don’t fully understand my patterns yet, but I know something isn’t working.”
“I keep ending up in the same kind of relationship—what am I missing?”
“I understand my patterns, but I still find myself in them.”
“I want to stop obsessing over texts and trust my choices.”
“I’m reinventing myself, but I don’t know what that looks like day-to-day.”
“I understand my patterns, but I don’t trust myself to choose differently.”
“I keep overriding what I feel—and then wondering why I end up here again.”
Why People Come to Depth Coaching
People reach out at different points in their awareness:
Some are looking for clarity and insight.
Some are ready for change.
Most can feel both—and aren’t sure what to do with that.
Beyond SessionsI also explore these patterns through media—especially stories that reflect the orphan archetype:
I analyze stories to explore how these patterns form—and how they can change; decoding films and series like:
The Queen’s Gambit
Peaky Blinders
The Quiet Girl
Good Will Hunting
These stories capture something real about how people adapt, protect themselves, and try to find belonging.
That same lens carries into our work—helping you understand your patterns with more clarity, and more depth.
You don’t need more insight alone. You need a way to work with it
If you’re ready to understand your patterns and begin moving in the world differently, we can start there.
If you’re ready to actually change how you show up—you can apply to work with me 1:1.
This is for people who are ready to go deeper, get specific, and create real change in how they relate to themselves and others.
